FOUNDED BY VISION, DRIVEN BY PASSION
Founded in 2015 by Dr. Aller Chen, a veteran marine engineer with a clear vision—to put China at the forefront of global high-speed marine propulsion—TSD was born out of frustration. For years, Dr. Chen watched as Chinese boat builders were forced to rely on overpriced, inflexible imported surface drive systems that failed to meet the demands of complex water conditions.
In a small R&D workshop in Changsha, he led his team through hundreds of rigorous water tests, refining every detail of the half-submerged propeller design. The breakthrough came in 2016: our first TSD surface drive system completed its sea trial, hitting a record speed of 78.9 km/h (≈42.6 knots). This milestone not only secured multiple invention patents but also shattered the long-standing foreign technical monopoly in this field.
Over the past decade, TSD has evolved from a single prototype to a global leader in high-speed surface drive solutions. Rooted in Dr. Chen's original mission, we deliver unrivaled performance—low resistance, shallow draft, and exceptional reliability—for military, law enforcement, rescue, and premium recreational applications worldwide.
